Job summary
Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking an Athletic Trainer to support orthopedic clinics, provide game/event coverage, and focus on injury prevention in a pediatric sports medicine setting. The role includes on-field assessment, taping, bracing, and educating families and athletes on injury prevention and home care.
Responsibilities include collaboration with the sports medicine team, documentation, and referrals as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or related field required.
- Florida Athletic Trainer licensure (AL) required; active and in good standing.
- CPR BLS certification required; maintained in good standing.
- Background check required.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in orthopaedic clinics and provide game/event coverage.
- Support development and modification of strength training and conditioning programs.
- Deliver age-appropriate patient care for ages newborn to 21 years.
- Incorporate infection control, patient safety, and growth/development knowledge into care.
- Report safety issues and equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
- Provide on-field assessment and injury prevention through taping, bracing, and exercises.
- Communicate with parents/guardians, coaches, and administrators.
