Great River Health Systems in West Burlington, IA is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer for a full-time role in Rehab Services. You will prevent, evaluate, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate injuries in athletes/patients, coordinating with coaches, medical staff and physicians to ensure safe return to activity.

Requirements include a BA/BS in athletic training, a MA/MS preferred, and BOC certification with IDPH licensure upon hire. Competitive benefits and a $15,000 sign-on are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training (BA/BS) required.
• Master’s degree in athletic training preferred (MA/MS).
• BOC certification required upon hire.
• IDPH Licensure for Athletic Trainer required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate and rehabilitate athletes’ physical and mental abilities.
• Plan and conduct athletic training programs in hospital, outpatient clinic or community settings.
• Select activities to improve skill, function and readiness to play.
• Evaluate progress and prepare progress reports.
• Educate caregivers and plan rehab programs.
