Job summary

Great River Health in Iowa is seeking an Athletic Trainer to assess, treat, and rehabilitate athletes and patients, working with coaches, medical staff and physicians to safely return to competition. You will develop injury prevention programs, manage rehabilitation plans, educate caregivers, and coordinate with the team to align activities with patients’ needs and capabilities.

Requirements include a BA/BS in athletic training (or MA/MS preferred), and BOC certification with IDPH licensure upon

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in athletic training required/preferred.
• BOC certification required upon hire.
• IDPH licensure required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate and rehabilitate athletes/patients physical and mental abilities and analyze medical data to set goals.
• Plan and conduct athletic training programs in hospital, clinic or community settings to rehabilitate.
• Educate caregivers to provide for needs during and after therapy.
• Coordinate programs with the team and healthcare staff.
