Job summary

Penn Medicine University City is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide routine care for athletic injuries under physician supervision. You will assist in clinical and hospital settings, document patient histories, and support procedures with professionalism and empathy.

Qualifications include CAATE-accredited bachelor’s, BOC certification, and PA license. Prior clinical experience is preferred; Master’s degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training (CAATE accreditation) is required.
• Board of Certification (BOC) certification is required.
• PA license to practice in Pennsylvania is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• 2+ years of athletic training experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care and prevention of athletic injuries in the clinical setting.
• Room patients, collect medical history, and assist physicians.
• Answer calls, complete patient forms, and obtain authorizations.
• Support physicians in minor procedures and joint injections.
• Provide wound care, stitch removal, and dressing changes.
• Prepare clinics, update charts, and coordinate referrals.
• Assist with casting, DME fitting, and removal of casts.
• Stock and clean rooms; order supplies as needed.
• Adhere to Penn Medicine policies and demonstrate professional conduct.
