Job description

TRIA is looking to hire a Clinical Athletic Trainer to join our orthopedic team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

Position Summary:

TRIA Orthopedic Urgent Care is seeking an Athletic Trainer to work in our fast-paced environment. Patients range from children to elderly with various acute and chronic orthopedic conditions. TRIA Orthopedic Urgent Care is open 7 days a week from 8 am to 8 pm and closed on major holidays. The position involves 12-hour shifts with a weekend rotation. While 1 year of orthopedic experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate.

Utilizing broad-based skills in patient care, ancillary services, and business practices, the Athletic Trainer will assist providers in accordance with PNHS standards and policies.

Work Schedule:

.90 FTE, 12-hour shifts, including every 3rd weekend rotation.

Required Qualifications:

• Education, Experience or Equivalent: Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Licensure/Registration/Certification: Current BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and Minnesota Board of Medical Practice license required. NATA membership in good standing. Valid NPI number required. Must be able to drive and operate the TRIA Mobile with a valid driver’s license and meet insurability requirements.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic computer skills; strong clinical and human relations skills; knowledge of age-related growth and development principles; proficiency with athletic training equipment and various health testing devices; ability to operate office equipment and medical devices such as ECG, dynamap, defibrillator, and orthopaedic/sports medicine tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of athletic training experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; maintain professional standards; make autonomous decisions regarding patient care; possess excellent interpersonal, listening, critical thinking, and organizational skills; and collaborate effectively with team members.
