Qualifications

  • PA Athletic Trainer license required.

Athletic Trainer Navigator - ORTHOPEDIC EXTENDER NAVIGATOR (FT; 40hrs/wk) - Temple Faculty Physicians - ( 250874 )

Provides patient access and care as a navigator to triage clinical questions and concerns. This includes serving as a liaison between patients, providers, and other clinical staff, helping patients navigate their plan of care/treatments. Assists physicians, other athletic trainers, orthopedic surgeons, APPs and supportive staff with patient care in the Orthopedic Surgery outpatient offices and clinics. Follows patient from arrival to departure. Ensures patient and physician needs met to support patient experience. Prepares charts for visits, testing approvals. Assists in procedure/surgery scheduling, contributes to clinical regulatory readiness, inventory/stocking, patient phone call responses, other duties as assigned including of subordinate positions.

Education
Bachelors Degree: Athletic Training accredited program (Required)
Masters Degree: Athletic Training accredited program (Preferred)

Experience
5 years of orthopedic experience in a healthcare setting (Required)

License/Certifications
BOC - Certified Athletic Trainer (Required)
AT-LIC - PA Athletic Trainer (Required)
BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
