Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey seeks an Athletic Trainer to provide direct patient care at Sewell and Moorestown locations under supervision. You will prepare patients, educate on home exercise programs, apply casting and splints, and ensure accurate medical orders.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training, CPR/BLS, and state licensure; a Master’s degree is preferred after 2022. 1 year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training required prior to fall 2022; Master’s degree required after.
• CPR/BLS Certification required.
• Must have fulfilled all requirements of NATA BOC exam and state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exam by documenting vital signs and history.
• Instruct patients about procedures and home exercise programs.
• Apply casting, splinting and durable medical equipment under physician supervision.
• Screen and direct patient calls according to protocol; communicate results to patients.
• Maintain regulatory testing and ensure clinical equipment is accurate and compliant.
• Manage par level of clinical supplies.
