Job summary

Virtua Health seeks a Full-Time Certified Athletic Trainer for our multi-provider orthopedic office in South Jersey. You will support physicians and patients, prepare exams, document in EMR, and manage clinic flow while communicating treatment plans clearly.

Requires 1–3 years of athletic training experience, a Bachelor's degree in a health field, NATA BOC certification and NJ licensure, and BLS CPR. Salary range starts at the hourly rate listed.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of similar job experience.
• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in health-related field.
• Must have fulfilled all requirements of the NATA Board of Certification Inc. exam and state licensure or regulation as determined by the State of New Jersey.
• BLS CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Acts as a liaison between patients and Physicians.
• Prepares patient for exam by obtaining a thorough history, physical examination and preparing patient for provider exam.
• Records patient data gathered during examination and maintain patient's file in EMR.
• Responsible for maintaining clinic flow in all areas of the clinic to include directing physician to their next patient and having pertinent data available and ready for review.
• Able to communicate effectively the intended treatment plan with written and verbal instruction to ensure patient comprehension and compliance.
• Performs duties of casting, splinting, suture and staple removal, wound care, brace and crutch fitting and education.
