Job summary

Shriners Children’s in Spokane seeks a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer to deliver on-site assessment and management of athlete injuries. You will treat, rehabilitate, and guide conditioning, with referrals as needed, in collaboration with local providers.

The role focuses on education, injury prevention, and continuity of care across school and community settings, with mentoring of less experienced staff and adherence to state licensure rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training.
• Current BOC certification or applicable state credential.
• WA State AT Licensure required.
• First Aid CPR/AED Certification required (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site athletic training services in schools or settings per contract.
• Serve as onsite trainer for sports offered at the site.
• Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate athlete injuries as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, school staff, and administrators for care.
• Maintain injury and treatment documentation and communicate updates.
