Cheshire Academy has an immediate opening for an Athletic Trainer. Reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer and Director of Athletics, the role provides sports health care for all students, including injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.

The position entails generally Mon-Sat schedules, 10-month full-time terms from August to June. Requires BS in Athletic Training, NATABOC certification, and CT license; salary ranges from $53,000 to $65,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training required, master’s preferred.
• NATABOC certification and CT license required to practice.
• CPR and AED/First Aid certification maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services for Cheshire Academy students under supervision.
• Coordinate injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation and game-day coverage.
• Maintain accurate medical records for injuries and treatments.
• Liaise with physicians, health center staff, coaches, students and parents.
