Job summary

The Episcopal Academy is seeking an Athletic Trainer to support the health, safety, and performance of student-athletes in grades 6-12. This 11-month role emphasizes education-based athletics, wellbeing, and high-impact medical support within a school environment.

Responsibilities include comprehensive care, urgent medical response at practices and events, and collaboration with doctors, nurses, coaches, and families. A BOC/NATABOC, Pa.

Qualifications

• Current BOC Athletic Trainer certification (NATABOC).
• Pa. state licensure eligibility or active licensure.
• CPR and AED certification up-to-date.
• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in an educational or athletic setting.
• Familiarity with digital health records systems.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for athletic illnesses and injuries and oversee rehab.
• Deliver urgent medical care at practices and events.
• Create and monitor individualized recovery plans.
• Coordinate care with doctors, nurses, coaches, parents.
• Document medical records and injury reports digitally.
• Educate athletes on nutrition, hydration, and injury mitigation.
