Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Sports Team Athletic Trainer to provide medical coverage for athletic practices, games, and events across schools and community teams. The role includes evaluating, treating, preventing, and rehabilitating injuries, and delivering CPR training as needed.

The candidate will work with coaches, athletes and parents, coordinating referrals to ensure continuity of care. A Bachelor’s in Athletic Training is required, with NATA BOC certification and current state

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training is required.
• Master’s degree in Athletic Training is preferred.
• NATA BOC certification is required.
• Current Athletic Trainer license in the practicing state is required (where applicable).
• BLS certification preferred upon hire or required within 30 days for certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic injury evaluations, treatments and rehabilitation per physician protocols.
• Deliver emergency medical services including stabilization of fractures and management of medical emergencies.
• Safely administer medications in compliance with state regulations.
• Develop and manage injury prevention programs for athletes.
• Coordinate referrals to ensure continuity of care with specialists.
• Communicate injury statuses to coaches, parents, and team physicians.
