Job summary

Valor Healthcare, Inc. seeks a Certified Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive athletic training services at JB San Antonio, TX.

You will perform evaluations, treatment, and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries, and coordinate care with sports medicine physicians. The role emphasizes injury prevention, patient education, and adherence to professional guidelines while documenting care in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) in Athletic Training or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Athletic Training.
• NATABOC/NATA certification is required.
• In-person BLS certification required (AHA/Healthcare Providers for clinical providers) or by the American Red Cross.
• One (1) year minimum diagnosing, treating, or preventing musculoskeletal injuries; higher experience for senior/head roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of Certified Athletic Trainer duties within established guidelines.
• Prevent, recognize, treat and rehabilitate injuries.
• Evaluate and treat musculoskeletal injuries with modalities such as PRE, PNF, manual therapy, hydrotherapy and cryotherapy.
• Develop and implement strength and conditioning programs for injury prevention and performance.
• Document evaluations and treatments in the electronic health record within 72 hours.
• Provide education on injury prevention, rehab protocols and nutrition as applicable.
