Job summary

The-Orthopedic-Hospital is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive athletic training services for athletes across multiple sports. You will work with team physicians and coaches to prevent injuries, assess and treat injuries, and guide rehabilitation to safe return to play.

You will also engage in community outreach and education to promote Sports Medicine services, maintaining detailed records and staying current with best practices in athletic training.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in athletic training or related field.
• Active state licensure as an Athletic Trainer in the state of employment.
• AT - Certified Athletic Trainer credential.
• BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and injury prevention.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and assists physicians in pre-season physical examinations for athletic programs.
• Develops conditioning programs to prevent injuries and enhance performance.
• Provides on-site evaluation and treatment for injuries during events and practices.
• Applies protective devices and facilitates referrals for advanced care when needed.
• Collaborates with coaches and clinicians to design rehab plans for safe return to play.
• Conducts education sessions on injury prevention and management for coaches, athletes, and parents.
• Maintains accurate medical records of evaluations, treatments, and progress.
• Promotes Sports Medicine services to the community through outreach programs.
