Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health/physical education or athletic training is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Collegiate-level athletic training experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe and evaluate the health status of student athletes during practices and competitions;
• Make referrals to team physicians;
• Provide direct supervision over all assigned program(s), specifically Men's Basketball;
• Provide direct supervision over all assigned program(s) practices/workouts, specifically Men's Basketball;
• Travel with Men's Basketball team to and from all competitions;
• Oversight for the health and wellness of all assigned program(s), specifically Men's Basketball;
• Assist in maintaining health records of all student athletes using the athletic training room;
• Assist in the supervision of graduate assistants and student employees;
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures;
• Assist in the administration of drug-screening programs for all studentathletes;
• Assist in the administration of insurance coverage for all student athletes, both domestic andinternational;
• Assist the department head, coworkers, and team physicians in pre-participation physical examinations;
• Assist in determining and maintaining proper coverage for all sports;
• Work with the team physicians in determining an athlete's status of return to play to their respectivesport;
• Assist in coordinating with health services regarding the health status of the student athletes;
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
