Baptist Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Athletic Trainer for Hayden High School to provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and patient education while collaborating with healthcare professionals in a school setting.

This role offers a flexible schedule to meet operational and patient care needs. The ideal candidate is compassionate, adaptable, highly organized, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care and education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field OR Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training with 3+ years experience.
• Current NATA BOC certification and Alabama Athletic Trainer license.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to educate patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries per professional standards of practice.
• Coordinate patient care with healthcare professionals and educate patients and families on treatment plans.
• Independently make decisions that positively impact patient health and quality of life.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with billing procedures when applicable.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, educational programs, and community outreach events.
• Assist with special events and injury prevention education programs outside of the clinic setting as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude in all interactions.
• Support patient care under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist or Medical Doctor when applicable.
• Adapt to flexible scheduling needs, including varying shifts and occasional event support.
