Job summary

Memorial Health System in Marietta, OH seeks an Athletic Trainer to evaluate patients, establish treatment plans, and provide medically prescribed athletic training to restore function after disease or injury. The role includes clinic duties, brace fitting, education, and collaboration with physicians in a varied schedule.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's or higher in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training, Ohio and West Virginia licensure, BOC and BLS certifications, and compliance with RQI;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training required.
• Licensure in the State of Ohio and West Virginia as an Athletic Trainer required.
• BOC certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Maintain compliance in RQI.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial athletic training evaluations.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in various treatments with proper precautions and safety.
• Demonstrates competence in exercises/testing modalities.
• Educates patients on exercises, nutrition, and injury prevention.
• Completes documentation in an appropriate manner.
• Assists in daily clinic operations: scheduling, rooming, vitals, scheduling tests, ensuring prerecertification, inputting orders, EMR, referrals, and orders.
