Job summary

Georgetown University is seeking an athletic trainer to provide medical care for student-athletes across varsity programs. You will be responsible for prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of orthopedic and medical conditions, along with day-to-day administration of the Sports Medicine program.

You will work under supervision with senior leaders, maintain detailed medical records, and ensure compliance with policies and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Degree from a CAATE accredited Athletic Training Education Program.
• BOC certification.
• Master’s degree in athletic training or related field preferred.
• ECC certification at BLS/Professional Rescuer level or above.
• Licensure or eligibility for DC Athletic Trainer licensure.
• NPI Number.
• Experience in college athletics and NCAA Division I is preferred.
• Ability to work in crisis or emergency situations.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record.
• Proficient in computers and Microsoft applications.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prevention, care, evaluation, referral, rehabilitation, and treatment for orthopedic and medical conditions related to intercollegiate athletics.
• Assist Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student Athlete Health and Wellness with medical treatment and day-to-day program administration.
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records for student-athletes.
• Adhere to Sports Medicine Policies and NATA Code of Conduct.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
