Georgetown University seeks an athletic trainer to provide prevention, care, evaluation, referral, rehabilitation and treatment for acute and chronic conditions for at least two varsity teams. You will work with the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student Athlete Health and Wellness and help manage daily Sports Medicine operations.
Requirements include a CAATE‑accredited program, BOC certification, and DC licensure or eligibility.

Responsible for the prevention, care, evaluation, referral, rehabilitation, and treatment of acute and chronic orthopedic and medical conditions related to participation in intercollegiate athletics for not less than 2 varsity teams. Assist the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student Athlete Health and Wellness with providing medical treatment for all student-athletes and the day-to-day administration of the Georgetown University Sports Medicine program. Maintains accurate, complete, and timely documentation of medical records for each student-athlete treated. Responsible for adhering to the Sports Medicine Policies and Procedures and the NATA Code of Professional Conduct. Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
This position reports directly to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student Athlete Health and Wellness and practices under general supervision of Team Physicians as defined by the DC Department of Health Chapter 104. This position requires considerable time above regular daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly University work schedule requirements which includes nights and weekends. Frequent travel is required. This position has been designated as On-Campus. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Such review may necessitate a change to a position’s mode of work designation. The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $41,926.00 - $65,090.00 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
