Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute (IBJI) is seeking a certified athletic trainer to provide high-level patient care and athletic training coverage across clinical, collegiate, and high school settings in the Chicago area.

You will collaborate with physicians, therapists, coaches, and families, delivering rehabilitation plans and injury prevention education. The role offers a robust benefits package and opportunities for professional growth within a leading orthopedic group.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Athletic Training Program (ATC).
• BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and IL Licensure in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Promote and provide excellent patient care.
• Develop positive relationships with physician teams at IBJI.
• Communicate with physicians, clinical staff, coaches and parents regarding patient conditions, plan of care, treatments, and protocols.
• Develop rehabilitation and treatment regimens in conjunction with physician recommendations.
• Proper referral of patients for appropriate diagnostic and follow-up procedures and subsequent injury tracking.
• Maintain patient documentation in the EMR.
• Participates in programs sponsored by IBJI: clinical meetings, mentoring, clinical educator, special interest groups, community outreach.
• Provide athletic training coverage at events; may include weekend/evening work.
• Assist with continuing education and ensure license remains in good standing.
