Novant Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer Certified / Orthopedic Tech Certified under physician supervision for orthopedic and sports medicine care, including evaluation, rehabilitation, and patient education.
This role supports OR and in-office procedures, casts and orthotics, diagnostic coordination, and community outreach, with a schedule Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM and Friday half-days.
Under the supervision of a physician, the Athletic Trainer Certified / Orthopedic Tech Certified is for an experienced athletic training position with clinical responsibilities for direct patient contact. Primarily, for the evaluation and treatment of medical and musculoskeletal pathology consistent with the scope and practice of athletic training clinical competencies as defined by the NATABOC and the State of North Carolina Athletic Training Credentialing Board. Under the supervision of a physician, the position is to have certification for an Orthopedic Technologist in addition to Athletic Trainer. Primary responsibility of OTC is to include surgical assist duties in either the operating room or in clinical in-office procedures.
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with half-days every Friday (ending around 12:00–1:00 PM).
Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree,required. Graduate from an accredited undergraduate or graduate athletic training program. Graduate Degree, preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two years experience as a Athletic Trainer, required. Complete the Practitioner Support Staff credentialing application (www.nhcredentialing.org).

Licensure/Certification: Pass NATA BOC exam, required. Orthopedic Technologist certification, required.
