Job summary

Novant Health in Cary, NC invites you to join our athletic training team. Provide direct patient care, room patients, obtain vitals, and collaborate with physicians to optimize outcomes.

You will assess injuries, design rehab plans, educate patients, and document care within protocols. We seek candidates with a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training, current BOC certification, and state licensure; a graduate degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including rooming patients and obtaining vital signs.

• Educate patients on medical equipment needs and initiate referrals.
• Assist with scheduling and follow-up appointments.

What We Offer

Join Novant Health as an Athletic Trainer

Location: Cary NC, Holly Springs, NC and Raleigh, NC

Schedule: 10 hr shifts work 7:30am-5:30pm 4 days per week

What You'll Do

• Evaluate & Treat athletic injuries using evidence-based methods.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Design & implement rehabilitation programs tailored to each individual's needs.
• Serve as a health educator, delivering preventive care advice to patients and the community.
• Document assessments and treatments in compliance with state and Novant protocols.
• Maintain a safe environment, guided by “First Do No Harm” principles.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Graduate from an accredited athletic training program, required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
• Experience: 2 years, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current AT licensure in appropriate state with the ability to acquire additional state licenses as required prior to first day of employment, required. Successfully pass BOC exam, required. Hold or ability to hold AHA BLS First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification, required. Hold or ability to hold CSCS, PES, BFR, Dry Needling or similar, preferred.
• Additional Skills Required: Excellent Customer Service, Written and Oral Communication, basic computer application skills, and ability to multitask.
