Job summary

Cognito Systems, a Mentor‑Protege Joint Venture with Planned Systems International (PSI), seeks an Athletic Trainer to join the U.S. Army H2F program at Fort Drum in Watertown, NY. The role supports prevention, injury management, and rehabilitation for military personnel, contributing to improved readiness and ACFT outcomes.

You will work with therapists, coaches, and other specialists to implement evidence-based care and performance optimization strategies in a dynamic, on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• CAATE accreditation required.
• BOC certification required.
• NPI required.
• Unrestricted state license/registration in the 49 states/DC/PR/USVI; in-state licensure upon onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physical therapists, strength and conditioning coaches, dietitians, cognitive performance experts, and occupational therapists.
• Deliver prevention-focused care, acute injury management, and rehabilitation for musculoskeletal injuries.
• Engage in performance optimization addressing H2F domains: physical, mental, nutritional, sleep, spiritual.
• Support unit leaders with evidence-based strategies to reduce injuries and promote recovery.
• Leverage CIMT tools to track and improve performance outcomes; improve soldier performance and resilience.
