Salem State University is seeking an onsite athletic trainer to join our sports medicine staff, supporting 15 varsity teams and promoting student-athlete health, performance and wellbeing. The role involves direct care, education, and collaboration with coaches and medical staff in a fast-paced collegiate setting.
The position is temporary, full-time for 10 months with non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and travel with one high-risk team.

As a member of our sports medicine staff, you'll play a meaningful role in keeping that commitment — working directly with NCAA Division III student-athletes to support their health, performance, and long-term wellbeing.
Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine/Head Athletic Trainer, you will provide comprehensive athletic training services and assist in the implementation of a comprehensive sports medicine program to 15 varsity athletic teams. This is a hands‑on, student‑facing position with genuine scope to shape how care is delivered on campus and potentially serve as a preceptor for the MSAT program

This is an onsitepositionin Salem, MA with on‑campus, in‑person responsibilities,which may require regular work on evenings and weekends.
Employment is contingent upon a completed background and CORI check satisfactory to the university.
