Job summary

Rainy Lake Medical Center in International Falls, MN, is hiring an Athletic Trainer to provide immediate assessment, care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. You will counsel athletes, coaches, and parents in health-related areas and offer preventative guidance to keep athletes healthy and performing at their best.

The Athletic Trainer will also represent RLMC and provide coverage for local and regional high school and college programs, under the direction of the Director of Therapy &

Qualifications

• Must hold MN Athletic Trainer license.
• BOC certification and CPR/First Aid requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training.
• Current BCLS certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate assessment, care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
• Counsel athletes, coaches and parents in health-related areas.
• Provide preventative advice on athletic trauma or health or performance.
• Represent Rainy Lake Medical Center and provide athletic trainer coverage for local or regional high school and college programs as determined appropriate by RLMC.

Job Summary: Under direction of the Director of Therapy & Wellness, the Athletic Trainer provides immediate assessment, care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries; counsels athletes, coaches and parents in various health-related areas; and provides preventative advice on athletic trauma or conditions that adversely affect health or performance of the athlete. The Athletic Trainer will also represent Rainy Lake Medical Center in a positive and professional manner while providing athletic trainer coverage for local or regional high school and college athletic programs as determined appropriate by RLMC.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Maintain Current MN Athletic Trainer License
• Maintain current certification and continuing education requirements as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification
• BCLS certification (or the ability to become certified)
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in athletic training

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 or 2 years of experience in athletic training setting
