Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking an Athletic Trainer in Indiana to provide comprehensive athletic training services, injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for athletes across multiple sports. This PRN role supports events and practices with flexible hours.

You will collaborate with team physicians, coaches, and families; conduct pre-season exams, develop conditioning programs, and deliver on-site care, edifying athletes on injury prevention and safe return to activity.

Qualifications

• Current athletic training license in the state of employment.
• AT-Certified athletic trainer credential required.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-season physical examinations with physicians while ensuring safety standards.
• Develop and implement conditioning programs to prevent injuries and improve performance.
• Provide on-site evaluation and treatment for injuries during events and practices.
• Administer first aid and refer to specialists as needed.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and rehabilitation progress accurately.
• Educate coaches, athletes, and parents on injury prevention and safe return to activity.
• Promote sports medicine services through community outreach.
• Stay current with evidence-based practices and maintain licensure.
