Job Title: Certified Athletic Trainer
Professional Physical Therapy, a leading provider of outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation services in the Northeast and a certified Great Place to Work, is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessment of athletes' injuries or illnesses to determine emergency care or referral needs.
- Perform functions related to athletic injuries, including prevention, assessment, treatment, first aid, and reconditioning, as established by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC) and the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
- Demonstrate proper taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of athletic equipment.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with coursework in kinesiology, biomechanics, exercise physiology, infection control, professionalism, ethics, and athletic injury prevention and care.
- BOC certification required.
- Current state licensure.
- Knowledge of athletic injury symptoms, prevention, care, and treatment.
- CPR and AED certification.
- Effective communication skills with coaches, athletes, parents, patients, and staff.
- Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with staff, athletes, coaches, and the public.
