Job summary

Lifepoint Health® is seeking a dedicated Athletic Trainer to support student athletes in a variety of school-based sports programs. This full-time role involves implementing treatment and rehabilitation programs, managing injuries, and developing conditioning programs for athletes.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an applied discipline and possess an active Athletic Training certification, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Join us to contribute significantly to athlete care!

Job description

Job Title: Athletic Trainer

Job Type: Full-time, exempt. Job Schedule: Days/Afternoons/Evenings, variable schedule aligns with programs supported (High School, no football team). Location: Supporting Vance County Charter School.

How You’ll Contribute

The Athletic Trainer supports student athletes across a variety of school-based sports programs by providing injury prevention, evaluation, and care.

• Implements treatment and rehabilitation programs under the supervision of a physician.
• Prepares athletes/patients for practice or competition.
• Evaluates and manages injuries and determines whether a referral is necessary; maintains a medical file and acts as liaison between physician and athletes/patients.
• Develops conditioning programs for injured and non‑injured athletes/patients.
• Other duties as assigned.
