Job summary

Life Time Inc. is seeking an Athletic Reformer Instructor in New York to deliver reformer-based classes that enhance strength, stability, and confidence. You will guide members with clear technique, energizing music, and a welcoming atmosphere, while upholding Life Time’s signature methodology.

The role requires a CPR/AED cert, a Reformers Pilates cert, and a NASM/ACE/AFAA/AEA group-ex cert, plus prior group fitness experience and safety-focused instruction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of fitness instructor work experience.
• Experience teaching group fitness formats.
• Knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics.
• Ability to perform aerobic activity for class duration; lifts up to 100 lbs.
• CPR/AED Certification required.
• Comprehensive Reformer Pilates Certification (For Reformer roles).
• One of NASM, ACE, AFAA, or AEA Group Exercise certifications.

Responsibilities

• Delivers high-quality, athletic reformer-based classes rooted in Life Time’s method.
• Builds connections with members in a welcoming environment before and after class.
• Provides clear instruction on form, technique, and modifications for safety.
• Maintains a clean, organized studio space before and after classes.
• Selects energizing music that fits brand standards for the class.
• Promotes Life Time programs and encourages broader participation.
• Demonstrates deep knowledge of athletic reformer format and brand experience.
• Educates members on Signature Membership value and supports sales through relationships.
