Responsibilities include recruiting staff, coordinating background checks, preparing communications, and maintaining records. This full-time position requires evening/weekend availability and collaboration with county partners.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three years of experience organizing recreation or athletic activities.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience accepted.
• Preferred: college coursework in recreation, sports management, or related field.
• No position-specific license required; training may be provided.
• Evenings, weekends, tournaments, travel may be required.
• Background screening documentation must be completed before participation.

• Coordinate daily operation of assigned athletic programs.
• Plan leagues, tournaments, track meets, and community events.
• Recruit and train part-time staff; direct their work.
• Route hiring recommendations and personnel actions for approval.
• Ensure volunteer-coach applications and background checks are completed.
• Maintain program, participant, volunteer, and staff records.
• Prepare communications, flyers, schedules, rosters, and reports.
• Represent the department at meetings and professional activities.
• Record all hours including travel and after-hours work.
