Job summary

Virginia Military Institute is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director for Corporate Partnerships to lead the development, solicitation, activation, and management of athletic sponsorships. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• Proven experience in corporate partnerships, sponsorship sales, or business development.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with external stakeholders.
• Experience with sales prospecting, negotiations, contracts, activation, and account management.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Ability to create customized sponsorship proposals and packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, solicitation, activation, and management of corporate partnerships for VMI Athletics.
• Develop and execute corporate partnership sales strategies to grow revenue.
• Identify and solicit new corporate partners through direct sales, networking, and referrals.
• Manage the full partnership lifecycle from prospecting to renewal and retention.
• Create customized proposals aligned with partner objectives and brand strategies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to activate assets and sponsorships.
• Develop in-venue, digital, hospitality, and experiential activations to add partner value.
• Support annual revenue projections, goals, and budgets for partnerships.
• Travel as needed for events and partner activities.
