Job summary

Elma School District is seeking an Athletics Groundskeeper for the 2026-2027 school year, to maintain our athletic facilities and ensure high-quality grounds. The role runs Monday through Friday, eight hours per day, for 209 days per year.

Salary ranges from $30.41 to $34.99 per hour under the EESP schedule. Benefits include sick and personal leave, retirement, deferred compensation, family medical leave, and comprehensive insurance options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• WSP/FBI background clearance (employee cost).
• Valid Washington State Driver License.
• Ability to problem solve and be self-reliant.
• Able to produce a high volume of work with quality.
• Ability to work with Athletic Director, Maintenance Supervisor, staff and students.
• Willingness to attend training to increase grounds knowledge.
• Must perform physically demanding grounds tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain athletic grounds with lawn/turf care.
• Coordinate with Athletic Director and maintenance staff.
• Work Mon–Fri, 8 hours per day, 209 days per year.
