Job summary

Saginaw Township Community Schools is seeking an Athletics Grounds Custodian to maintain athletic facilities and grounds, ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment for students and spectators.

The full-time, day shift position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and experience with groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers and blowers. Pay ranges $15.81–$17.34 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; horticulture/landscaping knowledge is a plus.
• Previous groundskeeping or custodial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of turf care and general maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain athletic fields, courts, and surrounding areas to ensure safety and a welcoming environment.
• Monitor equipment, report malfunctions, and assist in event setup and field marking.
• Conduct inspections, manage waste, and maintain records of maintenance activities.
