Confluence Academies seeks a part-time, seasonal Game Duty worker to support high school athletic events. Responsibilities include managing gate entry, monitoring access, supervising concession stands, operating the game clock, and recording scores while maintaining a positive, professional environment for student-athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators.

Qualifications

• Clear and professional communication with students, staff, officials, and spectators.
• Reliable and punctual for scheduled contests.
• Ability to follow directions from athletic staff and game officials.
• Basic knowledge of operating scoreboards and clocks, or willingness to learn.
• Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Gate Fee Collection: collect admission fees and manage entry flow.
• Door Monitoring: monitor entry points to ensure appropriate access.
• Concession Stand Oversight: supervise student workers and restock items.
• Game Clock Operation: operate the running clock as directed by officials.
• Scorekeeping: maintain the official scorebook accurately.
• Public Address Announcing: provide clear, professional announcements.
• Referee Escort: escort officials to locker rooms and post-game areas, collect forms.
• Custodial Notification: report hazards or sanitation concerns.
• Crowd Control Support: alert admin to inappropriate behavior.
• Football Chain Crew: fulfill chain and yardage duties for football.
• Statistician Duties: record game statistics as assigned.
• Other Duties: assist athletic director as needed.
