Job summary

Macon-Bibb County Consolidated Government is seeking an Athletic Field Maintenance Worker to maintain athletic fields, playgrounds, and park facilities within the Macon-Bibb County community. You will operate lawn and pool equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with clerical tasks as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with at least five years of maintenance experience, plus valid vehicle operation credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with at least five years’ maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of field and building maintenance methods and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform grounds maintenance and equipment operations for athletic fields, parks, and facilities.
• Coordinate delivery of materials and preventive maintenance for equipment and pool facilities.
• Mow, edge, trim, water, and maintain athletic fields; operate mowers, trimmers, aerifiers, and field paint sprayers.
• Inspect and maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and pool equipment; ensure safe operation.
