Job summary

Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach, FL, seeks a Manager, Grounds to lead day-to-day grounds operations for an 80-acre campus with baseball and softball fields, indoor facilities, and landscaped areas, ensuring safe, playable surfaces for year-round programs and events.

You will recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, coordinate with Operations, Athletics, and Event Planning, manage turf, irrigation, equipment, and safety compliance, and direct field prep for practices, games,

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in turfgrass management or related field preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in athletic field or grounds management with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily grounds operations and develop annual, seasonal, and daily work plans.
• Recruit, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate full-time and part-time grounds staff; establish assignments and safety expectations.
• Oversee maintenance of golf-cart fleet and facility equipment; ensure preventive maintenance and service records.
• Coordinate with Operations, Athletics, Event Planning, Engineering, and event leadership for facility preparation for groups.
