Job summary

Tacoma Community College is seeking a part-time, non-permanent position focused on maintaining athletic fields under direct supervision. The role involves routine manual labor, painting prep, moving equipment, and general clean-up across grounds and facilities.

Responsibilities include prepping for painting, repainting safety stripes, mowing athletic fields, and assisting Grounds staff. Must lift up to 50 pounds and operate power equipment safely; driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in building and equipment maintenance or related work is preferred.
• Must be able to follow instructions and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Preparation for painting (scraping, pressure washing, etc.).
• Re-painting safety stripes on exterior stairs.
• Moving furniture and equipment.
• General clean up.
• Assisting other Building Maintenance and Grounds staff, primarily mowing athletic fields.
• May operate a pickup truck or other small vehicle to deliver/ remove materials.
