Job summary

Cornell University is seeking a Lynah Rink Manager to lead operations, events, and facility services for the historic ice rink serving varsity and community users.

You will oversee technical, operational, and administrative duties while coordinating with Athletics and Facilities to maximize utilization and revenue, ensure safety, and sustain high standards of user experience for all rink activities.

Qualifications

• Trade/Technical/Vocational degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, including management.
• Experience with ice resurfacing equipment, refrigeration systems, or rink mechanical infrastructure.
• Proficiency with facility management software, POS and scheduling systems, plus Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational, technical, and administrative leadership for Lynah Rink.
• Ensure varsity programs have access to an exceptional ice surface and manage rentals/events.
• Collaborate with Athletics and Facilities to balance competing needs and increase utilization and revenue.
• Lead sustainability and facility improvement planning to keep Lynah competitive and well-maintained.
