Job summary

The University of Chicago’s athletics and recreation department seeks an individual to assist in managing our athletic and recreational facilities. You will oversee the equipment room, supervise staff, and coordinate inter-departmental scheduling for campus venues.

The role contributes to event management for varsity contests while ensuring safety, policies, and quality service to participants across all facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: college or university degree in related field.
• Significant and relevant work experience in facility management in a collegiate setting for preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of the University of Chicago’s athletic and recreational facilities.
• Manage the Equipment Room and supervise personnel; coordinate inter-departmental facilities scheduling.
• Oversee evening facilities security, oversight, and risk management; supervise staff.
• Develop and maintain facility schedules; resolve conflicts and publish master schedules.
• Attend Facilities Management meetings and support event management for varsity contests.
