Job summary

Tri-Valley CUSD #3 is seeking an organized and energetic Athletic Director to manage, oversee, and advance the District’s interscholastic athletic programming. The ideal candidate will foster a positive environment that promotes the growth, sportsmanship, and personal development of every participating student-athlete.

Responsibilities include scheduling events, coordinating facilities, managing budget and staff, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong community relations.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in an education field.
• Experience: Minimum of five years teaching and coaching; admin experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, management, and organizational skills with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage, oversee, and advance the district’s interscholastic athletic programming.
• Create and maintain the master sports calendar and schedule events.
• Coordinate facility use, officials, staff, and security; handle financial reporting.
• Assist administration in selecting and evaluating coaching personnel.
• Verify records, insurance, and eligibility; ensure safety compliance.
• Develop the master athletic budget and monitor inventories.
• Plan athletic recognition programs and engage with parents and boosters.
