Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Texas teaching certificate or eligibility for alt cert.
• Experience as a coach or participant in sport.
• Knowledge of UIL rules.
• Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Use instructional techniques to meet the needs of student athletes.
• Manage and supervise athletic activities and practices.
• Collaborate with staff to set goals for student athletes.
• Establish performance criteria for competition.
• Protect student athletes and facilities.
• Schedule competitions and coordinate arrangements.
• Maintain compliance with UIL rules.
• Oversee equipment inventory and maintenance.
• Supervise student athletes on trips.
• Confer with parents and teachers.
• Refer to NCAA regulations for scholarships and recruiting.
