The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and reports to the Athletic Director/Principal. Responsibilities include conducting practices, organizing drills, evaluating players, and coordinating with administrators, parents, and students to ensure safe, structured athletic activities.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods; climb stairs, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Must possess coaching techniques and skills and knowledge of sport rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
• Organize and direct practice activities as directed by the head coach.
• Assess players' skills and monitor performance during competition and practice; inform the head coach of performance.
• Assist with determining game strategy.
• Assist head coach with supervising athletes during practices and competitions.
• Maintain equipment room; distribute equipment, supplies, and uniforms as directed.
• Submit a list of award winners at the end of the season.
• Participate in parents' nights, banquets, award nights, and pep assemblies.
