Job summary

Architech Sports and Physical Therapy is seeking a Benefits and Authorization Specialist to verify insurance, secure pre-authorizations, and explain financial responsibilities, ensuring a smooth patient experience at our Wesley Heights location in Charlotte, NC. This hybrid role also covers on-site intake coordination during staff absences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in insurance verification and pre-authorization (physical therapy setting preferred).
• Prior experience with WebPT or other EMR systems is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Verify and document patient insurance eligibility and coverage for all services.
• Submit pre-authorizations for visits and services in a timely and accurate manner.
• Greet and assist with intake paperwork; provide on-site front desk coverage as needed.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure timely service delivery and mitigate denial issues.
