1 year of work experience in a similar capacity.
Ability to pass a background investigation.
Commitment to GCU’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.
CPR, First Aid, and Coaches’ Safety Training certifications are a plus; AED training preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure all aspects of athletic programs comply with university standards and conference/national affiliation rules.
Identify potential risks and develop corrective criteria and plans.
Explain and demonstrate principles, techniques, and methods for regulating human movement, kinesiology, biomechanics, etc., to achieve proficiency in the assigned sport.
Observe students during practice, provide feedback, and encourage the development of good athletic skills.
Assess student‑athlete capabilities and recommend improvements.
Explain and demonstrate appropriate use of apparatus and equipment.
Assist in program development, including strategies for competitions and enrollment growth.
