Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks an Athletic Trainer to prevent, assess and treat athletic injuries for student-athletes on campus in Phoenix. You will oversee medical treatment, rehabilitation, and education on safety and hydration, coordinating referrals and NCAA drug testing as needed.

Role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass background checks. Master’s degree preferred and experience with university athletics is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training is required.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment background check.
• Must be able to lawfully work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Prevention, assessment and treatment of athletic-related injuries.
• Direct student-athletes through medical treatment and rehab activities.
• Provide first aid and physical therapy to promote healing.
• Coordinate medical referrals and drug testing programs.
• Educate athletes on safety, injury prevention, and hydration.
