The Academic Advisor I collaborates with colleges and offices, assists with orientation, and supports students and families through various university programs and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
• Zero years of related experience in advising and recruiting.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Knowledge of student information systems and degree planning.
• Strong written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising on degree programs and course planning.
• Monitor student progress and verify degree requirements.
• Refer students to resources for admissions, financial aid, and student services.
• Serve as liaison between colleges and university offices on advising matters.
• Assist orientation and outreach activities for prospective students.
• Maintain records and prepare academic reports.
