Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Specialist – Sport & Outdoor to help athletes find the right gear and deliver an engaging, athlete-first shopping experience. You will drive sales, support service execution, and bring energy and passion to every athlete interaction in a dynamic retail environment.

Ideal candidates have a background in retail or customer-facing roles, and a commitment to excellent service.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
1-3 years of experience in retail or customer-facing roles.
Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Delivers an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and provide clear, knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
Assists with onboarding and training of new and existing team members, acting as subject matter expert in their area of the store.
Demonstrates efficiency and effectiveness in process execution while maintaining an athlete-first mindset.
Upholds merchandising and presentation standards by following floor set plans, signage requirements, price changes, and inventory presentation.
Promotes and drives customer participation in loyalty programs, warranty sales, and private label credit card enrollment.
Creates a store environment where everyone is welcome and treated with respect, adhering to safety and loss prevention policies.
