Job summary

IMI Industrial Services Group in Athens, GA is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer local to the Athens area. You will create mechanical and structural designs that enable fabricators to construct industrial and commercial projects, and prepare detail drawings for client approval.

You will use CAD software to design systems, develop bills of materials, and coordinate with clients and project teams to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical or structural design required.
• Minimum of two years mechanical design and/or structural detailing experience required.
• SolidWorks and AutoCAD proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical and structural designs for industrial and commercial projects.
• Prepare detail drawings for client approval.
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, fabricators, and erectors.
• Develop construction plans with clients, architects, engineers, and other professionals.
