• Review and correct claims issues in in-house holds and claim scrubs.
• Send clean, timely claims on first billing.
• Reconcile desktops to front-end rejections and resubmit to payer.
• Review outstanding AR using ATB, queues, and payment reports.
• Submit timely adjustments with documented activity in accounts.
• Understand and manage denials; submit disputes and appeals.
• Follow up with payors to ensure proper processing and payment.
• Know payor contracts, billing guidelines, revenue codes, CPT codes, modifiers.
• Investigate denial trends with payer documentation; propose action plans.
• Provide back-up phone support to billing lines daily.
