Job summary

Cohu, Inc. in Norwood, MA is seeking an ATE Test Systems Support Engineer to keep our semiconductor automated test equipment running in the Engineering Lab. This hands-on hardware/software role supports test systems, testers, and RF/analog/digital measurement equipment used by our hardware, software, and applications teams.

You will diagnose tester-level hardware and software issues, track lab spares, and work directly with engineers to maximize uptime. Path to Field Service is possible.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent hands-on experience with electronic test equipment.
• Experience with RF, analog, and digital circuits.
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting on board/system level.
• Strong communication with engineers on root cause.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on hardware and software support to maximize uptime of internal ATE test systems (LTXC).
• Diagnose tester-level issues in RF, analog, and digital circuits.
• Research issues using schematics and docs; escalate issues per process.
• Track and maintain spares inventory.
• Log and process service tickets with current tools.
• Collaborate with Technical Support to reproduce issues.
